Gotham City Rogues unis better than Steeler throwbacks this year

The Steeler Face is anxiously awaiting the July 20 release of "Dark Knight Rises" at it combines two of my favorite things from childhood -- the Batman and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

As many in Steeler Nation are already aware, much of the film was shot in Pittsburgh, including a dramatic action sequence at Heinz Field that features several Steeler players, who are the Gotham City Rogues in the film.

Yes that's really Hines Ward...

The Rogues unis are black-and-gold (like the Steelers) . . .

. . . and they have their own Terrible Towels too.

Moreover, the Gotham City Rouges unis are much better than those awful prison-style throwbacks the Rooney's introduced earlier this year

The Steelers will look more like jailed villains than super heros in those clown outfits.  Perhaps, in a previous episode, the Steelers were jailed for losing to to Tebow in the playoffs.

Please, Batman, save us . . . (from these hideous throwbacks).

  1. Hi. Where can I get the towel you've posted the picture of?

  2. Unfortunately, I don't know. I found the photo online about the time the movie came out. My guess is that they only created a limited number of them just to use on the set of the movie. However, I wonder if you looked around area shops in the city of Pittsburgh if there might be some there.

  3. By the way, I did find a Gotham City Rogues t-shirt at Comic convention in Cincinnati a couple of weeks ago.
