Breaking news: Bubble Screen hired by Indy Colts

The notorious "bubble screen" that was vilified by the Steeler Face and passive-aggressively fired by the Rooney's has been hired by the Indy Colts, along with former Steelers Offensive Coordinator Bruce Arians.  An Indianapolis Colts official, who would only speak to the Steeler Face on condition of anonymous parody said, "Peyton Manning can make the bubble screen work--it's just the Steelers that had problems with it."

In response, the Steeler Face noted that the Colts took Bruce Arians as their OC, and he will have authority to decide when the bubble screen is called--and recall that he called it on third and seven in the fateful "Tebow playoff loss" when the Steelers were trailing.  In addition to the bubble screen being a generally sucky play call, it is really situational play calling that is the problem -- and that implicates Bruce Arians (see previous reports on the Steeler Face about this matter).

Not phased by the facts, the Colts source said, "well, yeah, but Peyton is awesome--and he is coming back next year--and those commercials he's in are funny."  The Steeler Face did agree that Peyton's performance on Saturday Night Live was pretty awesome.

In other news . . .

Angry-Elf Roger Goodell had his contract as Czar extended by the NFL.  "My job isn't finished until I see James Harrison permanently banned from the NFL for excessive awesomeness.  I hate the Steelers and all the other teams think I'm right, and they're really happy that I haven't singled out them."  Goodell also commented that he sees no conflict of interest in his marriage to Cheatriots QB Tom Brady.

The Steeler Face offers these Pro Bowl predictions: (1) James "Excessive Awesomeness" Harrison will be the first player fined for a tackle in the Pro Bowl; (2) Ben Roethlisberger will throw a couple of TD passes and look incredible (because he was allowed to rest his many injuries--something not possible with Coach Tomlin); (3) Antonio Brown will return a kick for a touchdown; and (4)  Ryan Clark will make an interception.
