'Never-make-it-easy' Steelers don't in 17-13 win over Jags

Looking at the Steelers matchup at home this week vs. Jacksonville, I didn't even bother to do a game preview.  The Jags (most unfortunate nickname ever for an NFL team) came into Heinz Field with a 1-4 record and a rookie quarterback.

You probably even thought it was safe to feel a twinge of happiness during the first half of the game.  Pittsburgh led 17-0, accumulated about 300 yards in total offense, and the defense had four sacks.  In fact, fellow citizen of Steeler Nation, Pat Johnston (who

And then, Pittsburgh slowly started to unravel after a string of injuries to Legursky, Hoke, and Polamalu.  Legursky who helps protect Big Ben's blindside at left guard was carted off the field in a motorized vehicle with what may be a broken leg, and Polamalu didn't finish the game after suffering what appears to be a concussion.  After marching down the field for 87 yards and a touchdown on its first possession, and 72 yards and a touchdown on its second, the Steelers struggled to run, pass and not suck after halftime.  Pittsburgh out-gained Jacksonsville 370-207 in total offensive yards for the game, and yet the Jags had an opportunity to win it until their last pass attempt sailed through the hands of two Steeler defenders standing in the endzone as time expired.

Nonetheless a win, is a win, and we'll take it.  The Steelers are now 4-2 and travel to Arizona next week, which promises more uncertainty, stress, anger and anxiety.  Here we go Steelers, here we go!
